3rd October marked Bertie and Jacks 1st Friendversary. They get along tremendously well. There is no jealousy between them – they are happy to work independently and there is no jostling for place. Two exciting months! Work has commenced on the upgrading of our facilities. Bertie and Jack are unfazed by the workmen and all the tractors and diggers. Fingers crossed everything goes to plan. As well as the arena we will have a turnout area for the horses and a shelter. This will all be invaluable for our equine facilitated therapy.
July 2022 News Update Part 1 Jack and Bertie both travelled to Newton Rigg Equestrian Centre to take part in a Horse Agility Session run by South Lakes Horsemanship. Horse Agility is an equestrian discipline and internationally competitive sport in which horse and handler, both on foot, navigate a course of obstacles while focusing on clear communication and positive horsemanship. The next event that we will be attending is “The Feel Good Festival” at Into the Woods, Little Salkeld near Penrith (CA10 1NP). It is a 3 day festival from 4pm June 10th through to 12noon on June 12th. We will be there to meet people and chat to them about Equine Facilitated Therapy.
